Metal Roof Replacement on a Historic Tampa Building

On a building this age, the tear-off is the inspection. Nothing about the deck’s real condition is knowable until the old roof is off. We removed the existing roofing down to the deck and assessed the structure underneath. From there we installed the underlayment a metal roof requires, then the panels. Flashing and trim on an older building take longer than on new construction, because nothing is square and nothing is standard. Every transition was detailed to the building as it actually is.
